What is an elite member

I know that it is an elite member obviously, but what makes them different than everybody else? I was just wondering since I saw that down bottom where all the other colored names were

This has been answered before but I will answer it again :P

An elite member is a member that is selected by the staff to have special perks like the special name as well as access to a special section of the forums just for them. They are not picked often as I think the last one picked was when I took over as GM :P
